Hulin

June 4, 2011

Here she is, all done, finally!

Another over-sized hood…….I am totally in love with those!

Lace borders at the front and back, other wise it is mostly knit in stocking stitch, except for the pockets.

The story of Hulin:

Way up top a hill lived a spider named Lóa…..what a perfect little spider name.  One day as she was spinning her web a gust of wind blew her away.  Down, down she went….

…..all the way to the bottom of the hill!

She didn´t get hurt, thank goodness for that, she was a bit scared however.  But when she realized that she was still  holding onto her silk thread and hat left a trail, she didn´t feel scared one bit because she knew she would find her way back home.  What an exciting journey she had!

She is a little too long for my model, so she can´t quite reach the pockets.  And oh how I love those pockets!  They are big and deep and perfect and so much fun to knit!

I used plötulopi (unspun icelandic) for the hood, and eingirni for the web.  2 of my favorite yarns!:)
