Stolin

March 7, 2011

At first the plan was to knit a more traditional icelandic pattern in the round.  I began at least 3 times, ripping it out every time.  It just never felt right, never looked right.

I completely fell in love with this pattern when I saw it forming.  I find that a bit odd, I find the pattern a bit odd.  It reminds me of something, but I can’t figure out what.  Looks like maybe it’s suposed to be something other than a vest-shrug thing.

I love its quirkiness.  I love the colors.  I love the double rib collar.

What I do not love are these photos !  With all odds against me: not being photogenic, not good light, humid day…..not good even when not taking photos, and to top it all off, I took the pictures myself.  Total disaster.  And these 3 where the best I got so that’s what I went with.

Here are a few winners:

Totally blocking the view!

Head-banging at some crazy rock concert……….not!

Giant fan blowing at me…………..not!

And there were more……..awesome.

Stolin is knit with Lopi, Icelandic wool…………..love it love it love it!
